This is a golden corduroy Elephant Romper. The rompers were made out of many different materials (cotton, velvet, corduroy) and came paired with a white t-shirt.
The Elephant Romper outfit is #7 of the 19 original outfits produced for cpks in 1983. These original outfits continued to be made until 1985 when some new outfits were released. Variations of fabric colours and patterns made it seem like there were an endless amount of outfits! The original outfits were numbered 1-20, but there is no 19.
